Premier League Betting Tips for Saturday
Bolton v Fulham
Owen Coyle has been unable to lift Bolton away from the crowd at the foot of the table and Fulham, bouyed by a win against Portsmouth will also be looking for at least a point from this game.
Prediction - a score draw 1-1
Best Bet - back the draw at 3.35 (2pts) and Under 2.5 goals at 1.8 (2pts)
Burnley v West Ham
Two more teams hovering in and around the drop zone and probably both happy to take a point. The object of the exercise will be not to concede rather than to go out and win the game and this looks bore-draw to me.
Prediction - a 0-0 bore-draw
Best Bet - Under 2.5 goals at 1.84
Hull v Manchester City
Mancini will want all three points today for Man City today and I expect him to get them. Although Hull have been beaten just once in their last 9 home games, they still haven’t won for their last 10 Premier League games and this game looks unlikely to provide a change to that unhappy streak.
Prediction - Man City to win 0-2 at 9/1
Best Bet - A Man City win at 1.81 and for better odds, a Man City Clean Sheet at 2.6
Manchester United v Portsmouth
It never rains but it pours for Portsmouth, so today they travel to Old Trafford and with United in ever increasing good form, there can be only one result. The question has to be how many?
Prediction - an easy Man Utd win 4-0
Best Bet - difficult to find value with United generally 1/6, but what about Darren Fletcher to score at anytime at 5/1 on Betfair.
Stoke v Blackburn
Stoke are always a good bet for at least a goal at home (more towels available for drying the ball for throw ins?) and Blackburn are having problems scoring but may launch new boy Yildiray Basturk.
Prediction - a 1-1 draw
Best Bet - The draw at 3.3 and a small stake on the 1-1 at 7.2 on Betfair.
Sunderland v Wigan
Steve Bruce will be hoping that the addition of Benjani and Hutton to his squad will somehow fire up his side after winning just 1 of their last 14 games. Wigan meanwhile need to stop conceding.
Prediction - home win for Sunderland 2-1
Best Bet - Back Sunderland to win at even money
Tottenham v Aston Villa
Three places and just 2pts separate Spurs and Villa in the race for the 4th Champions League spot and with both managers keen to play flowing attractive football and always looking for the win, I expect this to be a cracking watch (Live on ESPN). I fancy Spurs to just edge it, but I also expect goals.
Prediction - A home win for Spurs 3-2
Best Bet - over 3.5 is an attractive 3.65 on Betfair
